The Alpine - Renault (never call it a Renault Alpine) was a Gallic interpretation of the Plastique Fantastique. A sleek and beautiful fibreglass body from French Manufacturer Alpine with off the peg mechanical parts from Renault, that had great competition success in Rallying in the nineteen sixties and seventies.
"It`s got a very torquey engine - I don`t know what size it is, but it`s good. It`s always worth taking extra care in historic cars just in case something goes wrong with them....the gearshift is very firm; the car feels very forgiving, quite fun to drive....oops, that must have been the exhaust falling off.
